Last week a midst the NCAA tourney action, some of the future stars of the power house programs in the nation took the court against each other in the annual Dave Telep Carolina Challenge. Dave Telep, a ESPN high school basketball recruit analysis is seen as one of the countries smartest basketball minds in breaking down the nations top recruits. He host a showcase every year in Raleigh, NC for the best prospects in the state of NC and some of the nations top recruits put on the show for the people.
Notable Recruits At the Challenge:
-Isaiah Hicks: 2012 UNC Recruit
-Rodney Purvis: 2012 NC State Recruit
This years field wasn't the best at the Challenge from past years, some of the previous fields including John Wall and CJ Leslie. Out of the recruits at the challenge this year the overwhelming number of scouts that have come to watch the the players show their skills say that Isaiah Hicks looked the most impressive showing a very impressive defensive effort a long with some newly polished post moves and a developing jump shot. The Tar Heels have a lot to look forward to off of their 2011-2012 elite 8 run.
