After hearing about Aquille Carr and his story, I just had to write this story on him. |
But how can this be true? He is only 5'7 and basketball is a tall mans game. You would be foolish to think this when playing against Aquille. On the court this young man is a physical specimen. He is the quickest guard out on the court that has a 48-inch vertical leap. He dunks over anyone that gets in the way in his fast break. His freshmen season he averaged 25 points, 8 assists, and 5 steals. His sophomore season he averaged 31 points, 6 assists, and 5 steals leading his team all the way to the Class 4A state championship game, only to lose unfortunately. His junior season he pushed the envelope even further. He lead the Patterson High Clippers to the Maryland 3A state championship with the win scoring 28 points and 8 assists.
He has that competitive itch that can only be scratched by one thing, winning. The reason why his nickname is the "Crime Stopper" is because on game days crime rate actually goes down 40%. When he is playing everyone in town comes to see him play. So while everyone is in the gym watching him and his teammates put on a show there is no one out on the streets causing crime. How many people can say they have that affect on a community? He inspires others to work hard every day to make a better future for themselves. As of now Aquille Carr ranks in ESPN 60 at number 55 in the nation. He has committed to play at Seton Hall for the 2013-14 season, and it will be exciting to see what he brings to the college game. By the way, this young man hates to lose...I mean he hates losing as much as he loves proving everyone else wrong. So prepare to see Seton Hall do work this 2013 season. Everyone can go follow Aquille Carr on twitter: @CantGuard3. Show him some love because he is most likely the next Muggsy Bogues.
